The documentary film What We Choose To Remember is a celebration of immigrants to Quebec who spent half a century successfully adapting to the spirit of Bill 101. By pure happenstance, the film was released the same month that the CAQ legislated Bill 96. What We Choose To Forget documents a three-year tour to 55 communities across Quebec among Anglos, allophones and other immigrants, in every region of Quebec, as they struggled with the effects of this new conflict between French and English, language and culture, immigrants and de-souche Quebecers.
